I’m forgetful. I probably won’t remember how to use it.
If you know that you are forgetful, ReX may be the best solution for you. Because it will not let you forget anything you need to remember about your therapy, and it will keep you from making memory-related mistakes (not taking on time, or not being sure whether you took your pill or not, or remembering to do lab tests on time, and so on). ReX does not require knowledge or having to remember how to use it. It guides you through every stage step-by-step each time, and provides you with reminders only when you need them. ReX will also be able to become your e-diary so that you don’t have to remember how you felt a week/2 weeks/a month ago, since it will be able to show you the information you entered about how you felt throughout the history of your use. If you are forgetful, ReX will remember for you.

I spend a lot of time outside my house and I travel frequently.
When you spend a lot of time outside your house or travel abroad, your schedule is out of whack and you may find that your medical routine suffers. Our patients tell us that when travelling they tend to omit their medications. ReX is meant to be the constant which helps you to have to compromise on your health. This is especially true when you change time zones, which make pill take times confusing. When away from home, eating habits also change, which may affect the effectiveness of your medication. With special reminders and medical tips, ReX will help you maintain the instructions which were personalized to you by your pharmacist/doctor whenever/wherever you are.
(You will have to make sure that you have enough cartridges to get through your trips without needing a refill or let us know to prepare a refill for you).

I don’t want to be contacted each time I’m late.
One of the beautiful benefits of using ReX is the fact that in time patients get into a routine and their pill takes become very regimented. What we usually see is that at first we give reminders (these can be by phone call, or SMS) and very soon after that, we need to give less and less reminders until we get to a stage where we reach the patient quite rarely. ReX encourages you to become involved with your healthcare and this engagement reduces to the very minimum our need to reach out.
For a positive experience, we can decide together what would be the most beneficial way to go about this initial stage of using ReX so that you are completely satisfied with ReX and are also adherent.

I take many pills, not just one, so ReX won’t be useful to me.
ReX can actually take up to 4 medications. Some patients take more than 4 types of pills a day, but we focus on those medications which are the most critical to an optimal clinical outcome, and consequently which will have the most impact on your quality of life.

I actually take my medication very seriously and I rarely forget.
It’s a common phenomenon that patients believe that they take regularly, but they actually miss doses. Some miss more and some less, but in our experience (and research shows) that most patients actually do not take as strictly as they think or mean to.
Also, ReX doesn’t only remind you to take, it also prevents you from taking twice by mistake or to take on the wrong time, and taking on time is a critical factor for clinical outcome.
Adherence and taking regularly is only one aspect of ReX. It also guides you with instructions, medical tips and reminders which your pharmacist/doctor personalized for you, and allows you to report your health condition at any time, so that your healthcare team are continuously on the same page with you and can offer insights/intervention/consultation in a timely manner.

If I need to contact my pharmacist/doctor I give them a call. Why do I need the device?
ReX is meant to improve and expedite patients’ communication with their healthcare team. Of course you can give your pharmacist a call, but they may not be available 24/7, they may be occupied with other patients or they may be closed. ReX allows you to register your condition at any time. This information reaches us (the pharmacy team) and we will be able to review and reach out to you ASAP.
Also, when you register side effects or a high severity level symptom, as was defined by your healthcare team, ReX will also be able to instruct you how to behave even before a pharmacist calls you back (for example, to refer to the emergency room, to not take the pill etc).
As well, all your inputs in the ReX constitute an e-medical diary so that you and the healthcare team can review your history and take decisions based on current AND recent data.
